Berry Camp this year at Kako was quite a joy. Forty-five ladies from eleven different villages attended, and they enjoyed every minute of it. The sound of ceaseless giggles filled the air (quite literally).

By God’s grace, in 2023, Soaring For Christ has flown one hundred and thirty-four flights, over three hundred thirty hours in the air, covering thirty-five thousand miles over the wilderness of Alaska.

We had a wonderful and fruitful time at Kako Retreat Center in May. The staff was kind and it was great meeting the Christians who live in villages scattered across Alaska.

The Bible camp season is approaching quickly! At the end of this month, Jeff will be flying for Kako Retreat Center’s Family Camp.

The Lord cut Kokrine Hills Bible Camp short with active forest fires this summer. The Soaring for Christ Cherokees flew 82 hours, 52 flights, 83 passengers, and 7,200 air miles for the High School and Discipleship Camps.

The Lord provided a second Cherokee Six to support the ministry flying. Obviously, Jeff can’t fly two planes at once. This is an investment to provide transportation primarily for Kokrine Hills Bible Camp, but also for future ministry opportunities.

Johnathan and Jeff had an epic voyage ferrying a Cessna 150 from Florida to Alaska, and arrived home the day after Labor Day.

Thankfully the Lord worked through His people and pulled off another Bible Camp in this year of challenges! The camp had teams of staff to support the high school, discipleship, junior high, and elementary camps.
