The Engine Overhaul is Complete

After many months, the Cherokee is all put back together again! Mike & Eli installed the overhauled engine. And Jeff was able to take the plane for its first flight this year. Everything was running smoothly.
Even though the plane was out of commission longer than we expected, it was very good that the engine was overhauled. The mechanics found corrosion in the steel, and gears needed to be replaced. Additionally, the Cherokee now has all-new cylinders, magneto, oil cooler, carburetor, propeller governor, and exhaust system.
The propeller was overhauled along with the engine. All the imperfections were smoothed out, and it got a nice paint job.
The Cherokee is now ready for camp season!
