KHBC 2025 Begins!
Kokrine Hills Bible Camp officially begins in a few days, starting with High School Camp (so exciting!). And as Camp season begins, there are a lot of things to worry about. So many things could go wrong, and so many things have gone wrong in the past.
But Paul tells us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God (Phil. 4:6).”
Here are some things you can be praying about before Camp:
The Kids. Sharing God’s love with the kids is the reason we’re doing this. Many of the kids are going through intense spiritual and life struggles.
Pray that God would protect them spiritually and physically throughout Camp, and that their hearts would be soft towards him.
The Staff. Pray that God would bring staff and counselors who are led by His Spirit. Ministry is fruitless when people try to do things in their own strength. And pray that the preachers and counselors would share God's Word effectively.
Also, Camp is very exhausting. Ask God to enrich and strengthen the staff.

The Pilots. Flying around all day long in the Alaskan bush is also exhausting. Ask God to guide the pilots through the skies and keep them from experiencing health issues during Camp season.
The Planes. Airplanes require a lot of maintenance, and sometimes, something will break during Camp, putting a plane out of commission. So you can pray that God will keep the aircraft in good working order.
Currently, Adam White’s plane is being repaired. Adam is one of our main pilots for Camp, so the flight planning team has had to be creative in finding replacements.
You can pray for the swift repair of his plane, so he’ll be able to fly it later in Camp season. And that God would work out the details for the time being.

The Camp. The work teams do a fantastic job every year getting things ready. Pray that their workmanship and repairs would last for the duration of Camp season.
Every year, it’s a struggle getting people in and out of Camp with the wildfires or dodgy weather. Ask God to clear pathways in the sky for the airplanes.
Additionally, it seems that almost every year, we have a camp cancelled due to wildfires. (Although last year there were no wildfires, instead there was an excessive amount of rain that put out the wildfires… and made the runway unusable.) One year, a wildfire was only three miles away from Camp. Pray that this would be a year where we don’t have to cancel any Camps.

Over the years, we’ve lost some support for flying for Kokrine. But even though things can be hard sometimes, God is still at work. We need to serve when there are opportunities.
Jesus said, “Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own (Mat. 6:34).” And, “Take heart, I have overcome the world (Jn. 16:33).”
Sponsorships
Watch this video of ten campers who were sponsored at High School Camp. Thanks to your donations, we were also able to help sponsor twenty-one additional kids at the other camps.
This year, we're looking for sponsorships again! Joey, the camp director, said that the scholarships we provided last year were a great blessing.
It's $400 to fully fund one kid to go to Bible camp, but you could also partially fund a sponsorship.
If you already support our ministry, you can send us an extra donation the way you normally would. And if you do not already support Soaring for Christ, you can visit our website's donate page (soaringforchrist.org/donate) and make a special donation through the mail or online.
After you donate, make sure to message Jeff at 513-335-9347 and tell him how much you donated to sponsor kids. That way, he can allot those funds for sponsorships and immediately tell the camp director, Joey.
