There's One Camp Left

Here's a new video interviewing several kids from last year's Junior High/Elementary Camp.

Junior High Camp is almost over, and the last Kokrine camp this year is Elementary Camp. If you would like to sponsor a camper for this year's Elementary Camp, you still have one more chance within the next two days. A full sponsorship is $400, but you could also give a partial sponsorship.

Go to our donation page to give (soaringforchrist.org/donate), and then send a message to Jeff at 513-335-9347 saying how much you donated for sponsorships.

Kokrine Update

Discipleship Camp at the sandbar

I received a review from a counselor that High School Camp was absolutely amazing. He said the teaching sessions were very well done. They studied the book of Psalms, focusing on how Jesus is King. The campers listened closely to what was being taught, and they had lots of excellent questions.

Around camp, you might see campers wearing 3D glasses; that’s because Kokrine’s theme this year is Pixar. And while they weren’t able to go to the sandbar during High School Camp because the weather changed so much, they were still able to have a great time doing other water activities.

During Discipleship Camp, they learned about having a firm foundation in the Word of God. One passage they looked at was Hebrews 12:1-3, which talks about keeping your eyes on Jesus and persevering in the faith. They were also able to finally get to the sandbar and had an incredible time there.

Junior High Camp is still going strong, but today is the last official day. The kids will start flying out tomorrow. Over the past few days, they went through a few chapters in the book of John, talking about how Jesus is the Bread of Life and how you can be born again. Yesterday, some fun activities they participated in included axe throwing, basketball, crafts, and minute-to-win-it style games.

Elementary Camp is coming soon...

You can pray for God's continued blessing on camp and the pilots, and that the wildfires wouldn't affect this year's camp season. Previously, the road to Nenana was closed because of some wildfires burning through, but thankfully, it's opened back up again.
